We aged a. Blend of 4-year and 6-year-old rye whiskies in a ginger mead barrel from Orchid Cellar Meadery in Maryland to create this spice-forward spirit. After two years in the Duchess Mead barrel, the whiskey picked up strong notes of ginger to embolden the classic baking spice notes of our rye whiskey. After a zest-forward introduction, the palate is tempered with a softer touch of apple, pear, and vanilla in an unyielding finish.
